This great print has been stored for many years in a flat file. It needs to be framed, seen, and enjoyed. Limited edition of 450. You will get a random number out of the 450 edition. Hand signed and numbered in pencil. It measures 20 1/2" W X 27 1/2" H including the white border. The first picture was taken with a flash, the others without.
About the Artist:
Bart Forbes is one of America's preeminent artists and illustrators. He has worked for popular magazines including TIME, Sports Illustrated, Ladies Home Journal, McCalls, Golf Digest, as well as a broad selection of corporate clients. His distinctive style has been highly sought. Among his highest honors were 1986 Sport Artist of the Year given by the American Sport Art Museum and Archives, and selection as Official Artist for the 1988 Olympics. His work spans a wide range of topics, but he is best known for his sports illustrations. He has designed over 20 commemorative stamps for the U.S. Postal Service. Other sporting events he has illustrated and designed posters for include the Boston Marathon, PGA and Senior's tournaments, The Americas Cup, the Indianapolis 500 and 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. In addition to his many sports theme paintings and posters, Forbes has also produced a number of beautiful series based on his studies of endangered species, history, and music.
